Sunday? Rainday in Phuket
Sunday was the kind of day to stay at home and stare at the rain, get a few household chores done, have a nap...Well, we went out for a drive under the clouds, hit some rain around Chalong, and decided to explore some backroads near Rawai beach. One I had never driven along before which led to a small beach between Rawai and Phromthep Cape - would be very nice on a sunny day! On the same road I found a spot where I would like to build a house. Would have views over the sea in 2 directions, a real gorgeous spot. Just need money.
What else can you do on a rainy afternoon in Phuket...Shopping! Well, we did not really spend any money, but spent a while walking around Central, took kids to the kids playroom, etc.. The rain stopped later on in the afternoon, but returned in the evening.
World Cup Update: England into the Quarter Final, where they will play a depleted Portugal team - depleted by 2 red cards against Holland, and maybe Luis Figo will also be banned for a headbutt. England blew hot and cold against Ecuador, and it was up to Beckham to be the hero with another special free kick...

Monday has started cloudy, with some rain, but not really windy. OK for diving, though I am sure many people will be glad of the free tea, coffee and hot chocolate you get on the dive boats here in Phuket.
Update, 10:30am: P*ssing down with rain here in Patong. Not just cats and dogs..I swear I saw a giraffe and several buffalo.
